Multi-classing here in the Lands works a little differently than on other MUDs.
You pick your main class at creation, along with your race. At level 5+ you are
able to select a secondary class if you want one (see also: MULTICLASSING
CHART). The class you select can not conflict with your primary class, your
race, nor your alignment. At level 15+ you are able to select a third and final
class, if you already have a second class. This choice of third class also can
not conflict with either of your other classes, your race, nor your alignment.
Each time that you reach a new level, you can select which of your classes to
apply the gain to, provided the gain does not make your secondary class exceed
your primary class nor your tertiary class exceed your secondary. Your total character levels can not exceed 100 total levels. A single class can not exceed
50 levels.
Dragons can not multiclass, dragons are able to advance to level 100.
Gaining a level
Syntax: gain <classname>
This is the command you now need to be able to gain your level and continue
getting experience. To gain your level when you have enough experience, you
must now visit a teacher in the Lands and request that they teach you the
information to advance your class. The teacher must be of the class you
are wishing to advance in. You will not be able to gain more experience points
until you have leveled. After you have found the teacher of the class you wish
to level in, you need to use the command gain <classname>.
You will need the same amount of xp whether you gain in your primary,
secondary, or tertiary class. The class you choose to gain a level in cannot
become higher level than a class you've had longer. You can only have 100 total
levels and a single class can not have more then 50 levels. The exception to
this is the dragon class as they can not multiclass and therefore can continue
up to level 100.
Adding a new class
Syntax: ADDCLASS <classname>
You use the command addclass <classname> to choose your secondary and
tertiary classes at level 5+ and 15+ respectively. The classes you choose
can not conflict with your previously choosen classes, nor with your race and
alignment.
This command does not apply to dragons.
