Fixed a minor cosmetic official SmaugFUSS bug in the visible command which Samson described as "The command does remove AFF_HIDE, so the character isn't hidden, but it doesn't strip it from the list of affects. Adding affect_strip on hide removes it from the list of affects so it doesn't stay there despite the fact that the character isn't hidden." The credit for this fix goes to Banner.

Modified the list command so that you can now get stats for objects that merchants are selling before you buy them, check help list for details, there are probably some other parts of the list command that you didn't know about too and those are now explained there as well.

Well folks, it's been a really long year so far, but we're finally getting back to some semblance of normality, unfortunately our new ISP is terrible but we're rural enough that the only alternatives are dial-up (which would be at least marginally worse) or finding a new host instead of self-hosting, and we're not quite ready to take that step yet. But we do have some good news, we've added a new pet command, beckon, that you'll want to try out. As always, the details are in the help entry under the command's name. This particular command gets credited to Vladaar and he's already promised us another one to come very shortly called graze that we think you'll really like. Additionally, we've finally gotten our logs caught back up and added over 100 new help entry keywords and will be working on catching up on fixing all the typos, bugs, and ideas that you've reported to us over the last few months again very shortly, though before we can start on many of those we've got a few more new things to finish adding as well. Beyond that, the ratings list was reset as usual at the beginning of the month (even during those months we didn't post news about it) and we've got a bunch of people on the rewards list still waiting to collect their glory rewards from it.

Conner & Dragona are moving to a new home over the next few days. The good news is that they got the house they wanted on 25 beautiful acres. The bad news is that the moing process will mean the mud and its forums and website (and everything else they host) will be down for a couple of weeks or so starting tomorrow or Tuesday. See you when we get back up in the new location!

Just an update, since we've been excessively quiet for the last couple of months..


The ratings/rewards list didn't get updated in February because the servers were down in our absence, but they did get updated in March and will be updated again before the upcoming server shutdown. We are very sorry about the problems that the server encountered during our absence but they were temporary and we greatly appreciate those who believed in us throughout our downtime. Unfortunately, our upcoming move will cause some more downtime shortly but not for nearly as long this time. Once the server is back up after this time, we'll resume all those projects that we had to put on hold back in December too.


We closed on our new property in Texas today and will be moving to our new 25 acre farm over the next couple of weeks, at least in part. (More on that later.) Anyway, this site (and everything else we host) will be down from roughly April 3rd through April 15th while we make the transition and travel with our servers.
