Conner's Family

New feature!

Samson has made available a module that reports who's visited here today and we've got it now! :)

On the front page, check it out! it's to be found right under all the news listings (including this post). The way it works is that it lists everyone who's visited since midnight (U.S. Eastern Time) when it resets itself. Just keep in mind that it only lists folks once they've dropped off the list of folks who're currently online.

Good to see someone making use of it. :)

BTW - Not that it matters, but you still have the skin credited as being Ashlander and things have obviously gone way beyond that. :)

It's also amazing how many animated smilies just assume people will be using a board with a white background.

Well, I seem to recall being one of the primary ones who'd pestered you to make it available in the first place, so it'd only be rude of me to not make use of it once you did make it available. ;)

Well, I didn't think I could change the credit for it without violating its usage license, I suppose I could throw in a "Based on" in there.

Yes, very true, and Dragona went through a lot of trouble to try to "fix" all our smilies to use clear backgrounds instead of white, but there are still more than a couple that just don't quite look right, especially the ones with bubble text in black that is almost invisible against our dark blue. :(

Hey, you know, you could always "steal" some of my smilies... MyPhotobucket Smilies

That's true, in fact, I'd rather planned to do so, but it still won't solve the issue he mentioned with the smilies we've already got, like these:  :anniversary: :whine:   :sorry:   :ym:

Ah, but see we were trying for clear backgrounds around them so that they'd show through whatever the background of where they're used. Now if our board used a white background then a white background for the smilies would work, but as is, it'd just make them stand out as not fitting in as well as they should. :(

you could always do a full edit on it ..... harder to do but possible ...

Perhaps if either of us weren't quite as graphic challenged. ;)
Dragona's gotten pretty good at working with graphics (at least compared to me) but I don't think she knows how to do this stuff "right" either. :(

Will do. I'm hoping to figure out my new 3D programs soon LOL but I downloaded them for free so they didn't come with 'instructions' LOL oh well = I'll get there ..... eventually ^..^

Not everything you download for free comes without instructions, but I understand.. knowing you, I'll bet you have fun figuring it out anyway. ;)

That site's not bad, I suppose, for most things web related I tend to hit up site's like www.javascriptkit.com/howto/ as they seem to give pretty decent, and fairly thorough, tutorials on most web building stuff, and I generally avoid scrapbooking completely after all the bad experiences that my ex-wife left me.
