(back on the 9th I announced (in a comment) that I'd added Devenon's smilie fix, well, tonight I've added a ton of new additional smilies and swapped out the ones we were borrowing from Devenon.) Oh, I also added an applet under the calendar on the right panel of the front page here to show the current weather and time where we live and I changed the footer credits slightly to use Kiasyn's

As you can clearly see, in several cases there are more than one way to produce the same smiley, I've done that intentionally and fully intend to add a few more methods to the ones above that only have one way to produce them as I get time, at which point I will add them to this list. (For those with more than one way to produce that smiley, I've put them onto the same line with each other seperated by a space, a period, and a space so they're easier to locate. Please note that these are not in any semblance of an actual organized order beyond that. This also means that to use any of these you need to disregard the . and the space between the first and second characters in each.)

Thanks, it does mean a lot that you like it. Mainly I'm trying to do stuff to this site that I think I and Dragona will like with the idea behind it that the kids don't have much choice in the matter yet, but it helps to know that someone besides the two of us feels it's not all just plain gaudy.

As for adding smilie support, once you get the hang of it, it's really easy to add and only involves gobal.php.. but a bunch of regex.
speaking of regex.. that was a : followed by the word dead followed by another :, but regex matched the first colon with the letter d (case insensitive) on me.
Oh, and Kiasyn was kind enough to very rapidly restore the button that I'd added earlier to night after it's brief outage.
I have plenty more planned, including, hopefully: expanding the RSS feed to include far more characters; importing our old blog posts from myspace and yahoo 360; finishing the stuff on my todo list that I posted a month or so ago; adding more smiley aliases; etc. But don't go holding your breath on these things, I've also got other projects to work on.. lots of them in fact.
