You're effectively a guest in our house here, please behave like one.
In general, we ask that you
1> Stay on topic within reason
2> Don't flame each other or this site (This obviously includes our family)
Basically, you don't have to like everyone here, but be respectful to them regardless
3> Do not post anything illegal or offensive.
This includes anything that you do not have rights to post or that is discriminatory or otherwise disrespectful
This includes anything that you do not have rights to post or that is discriminatory or otherwise disrespectful
4> No foul language
This is a family site, please help us to keep it family friendly
5> Visit often and post frequently ;)
Seriously, this will be a much better place to visit if you help it become such by posting regularly
Now, as far as guidelines, most of this site has been set-up to serve as a blog center for our family and a few select friends, we do have some other sections and even a fairly open general section, but for the most part, each section should be controlled by the person it's named after, their rules won't override our general rules that you're reading now, but may very well add on to them. If you're in a section which has posted additional rules/guidelines explaining it's intended purpose and any specific rules or topic information, please abide by them.
If the above is too much to ask, don't post here. These rules are very simple and will be enforced. Your posts are not subject to preapproval, in most cases, but may be moderated as needed. Try to police yourself so we don't have to.
Thanks!

This Document, titled "Where do I find things here?", is divided into four sections:
The Navigation Bar
The Front Page
The Blogs Area
Contact For Updates
The Navigation Bar
At the top of the page is a section of links called the Nav Bar, these follow you throught the site and help you get from section to section. There are links here to each of the Immediate Family members' personal pages (just click on their names to see them) along with a page listing projects we're involved in and one for our favorite links.
You will also find, in the Nav Bar, links for our photo gallery, a files area where we can make various files available to you for download like music, pictures (that aren't in the gallery), snippets, etc..
Additionally, the three most important links you'll find in the Nav Bar are the ones labeled:
- Home, which will bring you back to our "Front Page"
- Control Panel which is where you can set up your profile,
signature, and site preferences - Blogs which will take you the main area of our
site, the forums that we use for our blogs, considerably
more about that in the The Blogs Area section.
There are also links in the Nav Bar labeled:
- Members, where you can access profiles of other members and easily send
private messages to each other or check out one another's web
sites or just peek at the stats of one another - Pastebin, where you'll eventually (this section is not installed yet) be
able to post snippets and other relatively short term data
to share with others - Search, where you can use the built-in and rather powerful search engine
to find any blogs or comments that pertain to whatever you've
decided to try to find - Help, where you can find several very important and useful documents including this one
- Messenger, where you can read, delete, and otherwise work with any private
messages that you've sent or received (these are usually called PMs for the sake
of common abbreviation) - and, finally, the one labeled Logout is your link to sign off the site and move on.
The Front Page
From the Front Page there are several important things you can reach aside from the Nav Bar. The page is divided into three main sections.
The biggest section in the middle is our Front Page News and contains all the posts that have to do with the site itself. To save space, usually only the first paragraph or so of any post is shown here and then only the most recent 10, if there's more to one of these to read, look for a (Read more...) link at the end of the displayed portion or click on the link labeled Comments (#) where the # is how many comments already exist for that post.
The left column of the Front Page contains Stats about our site. Below that is our list of the ten most Recent Posts, this is the fastest way to see what's changed since your last visit. Right below that, you'll find our ten most Recent uploads, this is where you can see what new files have been added and get a copy for yourself if you want one. Under that you'll find a list of our Top Posters (the ten members of our site who've posted most frequently) and our Top Uploaders (the ten members of our site who've submitted the most files for others to download).
On the right column of the Front Page there are currently only two sections: Our Users Online list, which will show you who else is visiting us right now; & Our Affiliates section, which is a set of mini-banners for sites which we've exchanged banners with or otherwise felt like adding links to our Front Page for.
The Blogs Area
Within the Blogs section, there are a different areas that you may, or may not, have access to depending on your relationship with us. This section is the "meat" of our site and is broken down into the following six categories:
- Immediate Family Blogs (where you'll find the personal blogs for Conner, Dragona, and their children)
- Extended Family Blogs (where you'll find the personal blogs for any members of the site who happen
to be relatives of Conner's Family and who care to have their blogs hosted here) - Friends' Blogs (where you'll find the personal blogs for any members of the site who happen
to be friends of at least one member of Conner's Family and who choose to
have their blogs hosted here) - Gaming Groups (a special section that is exclusive for those members of the site who are also
members of one of the Family's role playing game campaigns..
the odds are that if you are in this category you already know
what that means and if you aren't then it doesn't matter to you anyway) - Miscellaneous (this is where every member of the site is free to post comments, concerns, discussions,
polls, whatever - within reason, and in general
feel free to use this section as you would most other forums) - and finally, Administration (this is where members of the site who have their blogs here can discuss
with Conner and Dragona site issues, feature requests, etc).
